About KECSBC

The Kerala Energy Conservation & Sustainable Building Code (KECSBC) sets mandatory energy efficiency standards for commercial and large residential buildings in Kerala. The code applies when the connected load is at least 100 kW or the contract demand is at least 120 kVA. Compliance is verified across four stages — Design, Construction, Completion, and Post-Operation — through 12 statutory forms issued by empanelled BEEEs and the building owners.

This portal is the single statutory channel for filing, signing, paying, and tracking KECSBC compliance, operated by the Energy Management Centre (EMC), Government of Kerala.
